Quiet for the person inside.
Quieter for everyone outside.

Working from home gave everyone a door. Open plan took it back. A pod returns it, and stops sound both ways: one loud call moves inside, the whole floor gets quieter. Glass, not plasterboard.

0 min

for the people around a loud call to get back to full focus. Every time.

in a typical open-plan office. It isn’t the volume that breaks focus. It’s that you can make out the words.

Typical measured range 60–70 dB(A)
29.4 dB

quieter inside. A colleague talking a metre away drops to about the level of a whisper. Your voice does the same on the way out.

Class B, ISO 23351-1. Tested by SGS, April 2026

You probably need one if:

  • Your meeting rooms are booked out by Monday morning.
  • Someone takes calls at their desk all day and everyone can hear it.
  • 1:1s, interviews and reviews happen in the kitchen or a stairwell.
  • You’ve been quoted for a fit-out and the number made you stop.
  • People are asking to work from home because the office is too loud.
Build a meeting room: tens of thousands, weeks of disruption, and it stays with the landlord. | Buy a ZUO: a fraction of that. The cheapest room you’ll ever add to a floor, and the only one that moves when you do.

Three office pods.
Two, two, and four people.

Not phone booths. Every ZUO is a soundproof office pod you can hold a real meeting in, with enough air to last an hour without opening the door.

Why it’s quiet:
what’s inside the wall.

The core is aluminium honeycomb, the structure used in aircraft floors: rigid for its weight, and it doesn't resonate. Six layers. The surface feels like furniture. What's behind it behaves like an instrument case.

01

The room, furnished

Table and seating matched to the model, not a generic stool. Carpet, lighting, ventilation and power fitted at the factory.

02

Delivered to the floor it goes on

Not kerbside. Not “ground floor only”. Into the room it’s going in, and the packaging leaves with us.

03

Assembled and tested

Built, levelled, plugged in, tested, door adjusted. You get a working room, not a pallet and an Allen key.

04

Plugs into a normal power point

One standard 10A GPO. No electrician, no switchboard work, no building services application.

05

Moves when you do

An asset, not a fit-out. Reconfigure, relocate or sell it on. It goes with you either way.

06

A local human

A rattle, a noisy fan, a flickering light: you call someone in Adelaide who can turn up, not an inbox overseas.

Not included, and we'll say so up front: upper floors without lift access, and after-hours delivery. Priced before you sign, not after.

Class B, independently measured at 29.4 dB of speech level reduction.

An open office runs 60–70 dB. Inside a ZUO it reads like a quiet library, about 35 dB. Speech doesn't carry in. And the part HR cares about: it doesn't carry out.

Measured on the ZUO L by SGS, report SDHL260300516801HI. Ask and we’ll send all five pages before you buy, not a summary line.

Board update

The call nobody should hear

The CFO takes an hour in the L. The floor doesn’t hear the board. The board doesn’t hear the floor.

Quarterly 1:1

A real conversation

Two people facing each other, door closed, in the SL. Not held in a stairwell or put off for a month.

Customer demo

Sales, at normal volume

They stop shouting over the floor, and the floor stops hearing the pitch. Both sides win.

Hiring panel

Confidential, actually

Three interviewers and a candidate in the L. What gets said in there stays in there.

Late afternoon

Somewhere to breathe

Lights to 2700K, door shut, ten minutes. For some people that’s the difference between finishing the day and going home.

Glass on the front, so line of sight is never compromised. Ask about education configurations.

We tested it.
Most suppliers didn’t.

Our pod was measured to ISO 23351-1:2020, the international standard for enclosure speech level reduction, by SGS, in the acoustic laboratory at South China University of Technology. Ask for the report and you get all five pages, before you buy.

Office pods in Adelaide,
answered properly.

The questions buyers actually ask us, with real answers. If yours isn’t here, ask.

How much does an office pod cost in Adelaide?

It depends on the model and how hard your building is to get into, so we quote rather than guess. What we can tell you now: the number always includes furniture, freight and installation, so nothing gets added at the end. Book a 15-minute call and you’ll have a firm figure the same day.

Do office pods need council approval in South Australia?

No. A ZUO is freestanding. It doesn’t fix to the floor, walls or ceiling, so it’s treated as furniture rather than building work and needs no council or planning approval. Check your lease for landlord conditions, which is usually a formality.

Do I need an electrician to install one?

No. The pod runs from one standard 10A power point. No switchboard work, no hard wiring, no building services application.

How soundproof is an acoustic pod, really?

Ours measures 29.4 dB speech level reduction, Class B under ISO 23351-1, tested by SGS. In practice: someone talking normally a metre outside drops to about the level of a whisper. Ask for the report and we’ll send all five pages before you buy.

Will a pod fit through my building and into the lift?

It arrives flat-packed, not assembled, which is what makes access work. Send us your lift internal dimensions, the narrowest point on the route from the dock, and the ceiling height where it’s going. We confirm access before you order, not on delivery day.

What’s the lead time?

Pods are built to order and shipped from the factory, so this isn’t a next-day product. Ask when you enquire and we’ll give you a date rather than a range, and we’ll tell you if something slips.

Can we move it if we relocate or change the floor plan?

Yes. That’s the point of one. No floor fixings and no building work, so it moves within the floor, moves buildings with you, and stays on your asset register instead of being written off with the fit-out.

Do you deliver outside Adelaide?

Quotes cover delivery and installation in metropolitan Adelaide. Regional South Australia and interstate are priced on the address, and we’ll tell you the figure before you commit.

Is a pod better than building a meeting room?

A built room runs into the tens of thousands, takes weeks, disrupts the floor and stays with the landlord. A pod is a fraction of that, goes in the same week, and you keep it. The one thing a built room does better is permanence, which is exactly what you don’t want on a five-year lease.

Still got a question?

Ask it on a call. You’ll get a firm price, a delivery date and an honest answer on access.
